Marty Raney is the real deal: a true Alaskan who lives on his own off-grid homestead.
Helping homesteaders/off-gridders in need is becoming a full-time job for the Raneys as thousands nationwide request their services. The Raneys are 100% invested when it comes to helping families achieve their dreams. And, with limited time and a limited budget, they are forced to get creative and resourceful. The Raneys give the homesteaders a hand up, not a hand-out. The transformation of each homestead reboots the homesteaders' dreams and inspires them to start anew.
Homestead Rescue is currently filming its tenth season; new episodes air Sundays at 8 pm.
Raney Ranch
After 49 years in the 49th state of Alaska, Marty decided to start over…one last time. A continual work in progress, Marty and family have carved out their own homestead on a pristine 40-acre plot of Alaskan mountainside—no road access and a Class IV+ river make life on this property a constant challenge. But, the Raneys wouldn’t have it any other way.
Discovery’s Raney Ranch follows Marty and family as they work to build their dream in the Alaskan wilderness.
